Bright Sparks!

In the spring term our science topic was electricity.  We thought it would be fun to combine it with our seaside topic and create our own lighthouses.  First we painted some pringles boxes.  Next we put coloured strips of paper round them to represent the stripes.  Then we used plastic laminating strips to create the effect of the windows.  After that we coloured a circle of paper which we made into a cone for the roof.  Having found out how to make a circuit we then used these to complete our lighthouses.

Budding Artists

Have you ever wondered how Mondrian started out?  Here at St. Mary's Farnham Royal Year 2 are already showing their artisitic talents using ICT.

First of all we had a look at a selection of Mondrian's art work.

We discussed how he created them and how we could emulate these on the computer.  We thought we could do better!

Whatever the Weather

Year 2 have been investigating the weather through music.  They have used their voices and faces to express the song lyrics.
